Transferring products to the website database
Transferring products to the website is a special operation which is required for the creation a new website and the absence of integration with 1C (trading system). This operation may be performed from one website to another or from 1C (trading system) to the other using the following scenarios:
using CVS - the "traditional method", which is easy to use and reliable. However, it is limited in the number of imported features and requires a lot of manual work;
using 1C (trading system) -Bitrix data exchange - is suitable for various CMS, not only Bitrix. This option is more convenient, but has a number of disadvantages: low speed - because of the creation of a temporary storage folder, which may cause problems when importing a database more than 10 thousand items;
By developing your own modules - the most convenient and expensive solution, which allows you to simplify the work of your managers and respond to all the wishes of the client.
Before launching a project, it is also important to define accurately and completely all requirements, including "hidden" ones. Questions may be raised at the development stage regarding the last ones. For example, it is often expected that the manually uploaded products would not be dropped/changed after the automatic import. But the code is unable to understand the client on its own, as a result, nothing works! The only way to avoid such situations is to discuss and fix the requirements at the design stage.
Over the years we have imported products separately and as part of site integration with 1C, including the database transfer more than 10 thousand items. To learn more about our completed projects, visit a section «Our Projects».
Our work time depends on the size of the database, specifics on transfer and budget.
